We only have 2 spaces on each race so if interested please make contact .

​The Edme crew are very competitive and racing is great fun!

Medway Barge Match starts at Gillingham on the River Medway and races out of the river and back again with a prize giving at Medway Yacht Club

Blackwater Smack and Barge Match starts on the River Blackwater off Osea Island, finishing back there then going to Maldon Quay for the prize giving at the Queens Head

Pin Mill Race is on the River Orwell and the race often goes into the Stour then back to finish off the Clamp House downriver from Pin Mill. The prize giving is at the Pin Mill Sailing Club

Thames Race starts downriver from Gravesend on the River Thames, racing down towards Southend then back to finish off the pier at Gravesend

Swale Smack and Barge Match starts downriver from Hollowshore sailing out of the Swale, heading over towards Herne Bay then back to finish off the creek mouth buoy at Hollowshore. Prizegiving is at the boatyard at Hollowshore and can be muddy getting back when anchored in the Swale!

Southend Match will hopefully be back shortly and is run from Southend Pier, usually on August bank holiday

Colne Race starts off Batemans Tower on the River Colne, racing out to a buoy off Clacton Pier then back to finish at Brightlingsea. Barges and Smacks race together with the prize giving at Brightlingsea Sailing Club

The Passage Race is generally the weekend before Pin Mill and currently has started on the River Medway and finishes off Shotley on the River Orwell

Day Sails from Brightlingsea​: 

​Edme has no engine so we have to work around tides (to get us out of the river then to get us back home incase there's no wind!)

Cost £75 per person which includes a plentiful homemade lunch, afternoon cakes and hot and cold drinks.
We can take 12 guests or if you would like to arrange a group of 12 the cost is £750 (so 2 go free!)

Watching the Air Show from the sea is truly awesome but will be a last minute arrangement and totally dependant on the weather as we have to sail there, often against the tide, and then the sea needs to be calm enough to stay anchored for the duration of the show.
